What We Believe

Who is National Capital Bible Church?

National Capital Bible Church, or NCBC, is a non-denominational Bible Church located in Springfield, Virginia. As an Independent Bible Church, Pastor Dan Inghram teaches Bible doctrine weekly, relying on the Scripture in its original languages to form his messages. We provide a home for solid, biblically based teaching for current and future generations.

Our Goals

Following the Biblical directive in verses such as Mark 16:15 and 2 Corinthians 5:20, NCBC exists to spread the Gospel (the good news of the person and work of Lord Jesus Christ) to anyone who may be looking for an eternal relationship with God.

In addition, with passages such as Colossians 2:6-7 and Hebrews 6:1-2 as our guide, NCBC strives to aid believers on their journey towards spiritual maturity. Pastor Inghram’s messages are meant to educate and equip believers for everyday life. As such, you will find them to be filled with actionable, relevant lessons based on Scripture that will guide you on your daily walk with our Lord.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

— John 3:16

What do we believe?

Salvation

With the original sin committed by Adam and Eve, the sin nature was imputed to all of humanity (Romans 5:19). thereby preventing a relationship with God the Father as we fall short of His perfect righteousness.

Born of a virgin and hence without a sin nature, Jesus Christ’s subsequent life without sin allowed Him to stand in for us as a substitute at the cross (Romans 8:1-3). God the Father imputed our sins upon Christ at the cross enabling Jesus’s death to remove the barrier of sin between us and the Father. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

The sin barrier removed, it takes no act of works on our behalf, but instead faith alone in Christ alone, the son of God and our savior, by which we are saved and reconciled with God the Father. (Ephesians 2:8 - 9)
